It started innocent enough..a friend from church said.."Hey.. hog wrestling at the 4H fair could be fun!!" The next thing I know (24 hours later) I was wearing a shirt with a pig drawn on the front of it and the "slogan"..."New Hope embraces all of God's creatures" on the back. My fellow team-mates were..Sara, Gwen and Michelle. This was my attempt to have fun while showing my kiddos that stepping out of your comfort zone can produce blessing that you may not ever see. Who knows maybe someone will be at church this week simply because of a passing conversation we had with them. God can occasionally place us in what seems to be strange places in order to spread His word. This was by far one of the strangest..most out of character things I have done. It was pretty sweet to hear my boys cheering for me as I was wrestling the pig. Just for the record the pig won but we had so much fun hanging out with him for a minute or so. The icing on the cake was Gavin explaining to me at bedtime that "...it isn't winning that is important it is having fun while showing others God's love that is most important..!!" I don't know about you but I believe THAT is a victory!!

Amber I giggled along with you as I read this post. I used to hog wrestle at the county fair every year while in high school. It was a blast to be a "little girl" again and do something that for me was sorta outa character too. Wish I would've been there to witness yours!
