We walked out of the orphanage around 12:30 yesterday..right at naptime. We got back to the hotel and Isabella took a nap laying on her Mommy. Loved it! After nap we gave her a bath..and I use that term lightly. She was not to happy but I had to wash her down. We played and then met our friends for dinner. She did so well. We are giving her baby food and she is getting 2 or so bottles a day. We bought the formula here as to not mix it up on her to much to start with. Last night I held her for awhile and gave her a bottle and then placed her in the crib and she laid down and went right to sleep..NO WAY..can it be this easy? We will see! She slept until about 5:30 this morning and then got in bed with us. She is pretty congested so she may have slept longer in her bed if not for the breathing issue. Get this..she loves the pacifier. We brought some hoping it would help with the plane and she loves it. The boys both took pacifiers so I could go either way if she likes it then great. She also likes her blankie which I love..I am a blankie kind of Mommy. Derrick left at 7:00 this morning to go to Kemerovo City to finalize her birth certificate. It is a 3 hour drive..one way. He has to go back tomorrow to get her Russian passport. I wish he was here today and not missing out on this bonding time but it can't be helped. Right now she is naping and I just finished some laundry..in the bathtub (never thought you'd here me say that did you?!). She stays right with me. She is not very happy when these random people (who are trying to be kind) approach us when we are walking around the hotel...she starts to pucker up and they get the point and move on. Of course I have no idea what they are saying so I just smile. I don't think things could be going any better. I am really feeling the itch to get home now that we have her but only a few more days. We head to Moscow Friday morning which will be a nice change plus it begins our journey home.
I hear her stirring so I better go..I will update more when I can.

Amber, I am so excited for you. I can't wait to see new pics of her. I still look at the ones we have from our group visit. Too Cute!! Maura also loves her pacifier. It is with her 24/7. She did fine on the regular formula and the food as well. Maura is still sick with her chest congestion.( antibiotics) Have to see an ENT for the fluid in the ears. I can't wait to talk to you. Maura is still sleeping 12 hours through the night. Yah!!!! That is because she ever slept on the plane. LOL
We've been overjoyed to hear details from your first day! God is awesome in so many ways that we sometimes aren't even aware of! Praising him with you!
Lots of love!
Marsha
Sounds like she is doing good! Did you take an antibiotic for her? I'm not sure if you used Dr. Staat or not.
These kids are excellent sleepers and I think it is because they had to sleep through all kinds of noise!
Moscow will be a wonderful change of scenery. There is more to do plus you feel a little closer to home! Please let me know if you have any questions at all. Can't wait to see pictures!

I've read this post 3 times...I can't get enough. I'm totally choked up! Endulge in every moment, you deserve it! Boys were happy (as usual) today. Papaw was taking them to look at guitars and to DQ for lunch. Wish he was my papaw!
I love hearing about your first adventures with Isabella!! We are still praying for you and your journey home. Much love and blessings from Jasper,
Love the Weisheits
